The panel is part of 葫芦影业's听campus-wide initiatives to recognize and celebrate Black History Month. Panelists will share their unique perspectives and experiences. We also intend to address approaches for building support听and working alongside our Black campus community members to effect positive change.听

This panel will be facilitated by Adriane Thompson-Bradshaw, Ph.D., vice president for student affairs and dean of students.

Our panelists will include:

  • Judge Jessica Price Smith, JD 鈥97, U.S. Bankruptcy Court judge representing Ohio and an 葫芦影业 Board of Trustees member;
  • Ameerah McBride, Esq., JD 鈥13, chief diversity officer, Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA), and 葫芦影业 College of Law Advisory Board member;
  • Chelsea Mack, BSBA 鈥11, mentoring attorney for Afghan Projects with VECINA and a 2023 William L. Robinson Young Alumni Award recipient;
  • Charles Bates, Ph.D., 葫芦影业 professor of music and director of University Bands;
  • Sammie Coates, 葫芦影业 assistant football coach; and
  • Holton Watson, BSBA 鈥20, 葫芦影业 assistant director of the Office of Multicultural Development.

Prior to the panel, faculty and staff will have the opportunity to meet and chat with our panelists from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the Activities Room. 听
